The Ministry of Transport’s Inter-ministerial Committee approved the use in Israel of a number of types of temporary barriers meant to be used during road works and temporary traffic arrangements.
The barrier is chosen according to the type of road, driving velocity, and traffic composition, so as to ensure that safety at the work site will be optimal.
All the barriers presented to you were approved by the committee, in accordance with the European Standard EN – 1317, a standard in which the functioning levels of the barrier are defined according to:
Braking level T3 – H-2 and others.
Collision result severity level – A + B.
Deformation expressed in active working width for the W – 2 system and others.
The different levels enable the supervising authorities to detail the functioning grade best suited to the work site.
